Author/journalist Starshine Roshell shares her secrets of hooking readers, experimenting with "voice," developing arguments — and tolerating feedback — in a small group setting. Analyze the pros, meet guest writers and create your own personal essays in a 6-week course that promises to improve your writing.
Tuesday/Thursday evenings, 6:30 to 8 p.m. at a Downtown Santa Barbara office building, Oct. 4-Nov. 10. $350 includes course reader.
